Voyager's Inn is a beautiful 1898 Queen Anne Victorian "painted lady" in historic downtown Three Rivers.
This historic home features original, meticulously-maintained hardwood floors, crown molding, pocket doors and gingerbread trim. A unique “painted lady,” the exterior boasts 11 separate colors as striking today as when it was built in 1898.
Three individually-decorated guest rooms each offer private baths and queen pillow-top beds. Full breakfast featuring local fruits, vegetables and produce is served daily. Look for sweet treats in the parlor each evening.
Set in a small town filled with historical architecture, museums and lore, it is surrounded by more than 30 wineries as well as nearby craft breweries. Poised near the confluence of “three rivers,” it is a mecca for canoeists and kayakers. Guests can bring their own watercraft of rent from a local livery
River-fed wetlands and marshes offer great hiking trails while woodlands are lovely in summer and provide back-road color tours in the fall.
Unique experiences at Voyager's Inn Bed & Breakfast
Craft Beer
Michigan is home to many craft breweries, and we at Voyager’s Inn are lucky to have two right in our backyard. The Constantine Brewing Company has six taps that rotate seasonally. The newer Kelsey Block Brewery in historic downtown Three Rivers is housed in the Kelsey building, built in 1854. This microbrewery produces more than 500 barrels each year, has four taps and offers tasty snacks as well.
Wine Trail
Voyager’s Inn is lucky to be located between two great wine trails in southern Michigan. To the west/northwest is the Lake Michigan Wine Trail, featuring 21 wineries. We can provide a maps and personal recommendations, as well as a coupon for two complementary tastings and wine glasses at Fenn Valley Winery in Fennville. We are also happy to book reservations there for winery tours or tickets to their special events.
To the east is the Pioneer Wine Trail, featuring more than nine wineries. Again, we are happy to provide maps and suggestions for your trip.
So, no matter which direction you chose to go, Voyager’s Inn is at the center of it all, and a great “home base” for a weekend of wine tasting.
Romance
Voyager’s Inn is the perfect place for a romantic getaway in Michigan any time of the year. Our beautifully appointed en-suite rooms with luxurious pillow-top queen beds are just the start.
Celebrate an anniversary or birthday with cake, sparkling wine and balloons, or show that special person how much you care with roses, chocolates or a bottle of specially selected Fenn Valley wine. A wine and cheese (or fruit and cheese) tray is a great way to start the weekend!
Looking for a quiet evening at the Inn? Enjoy soup and sandwichs or our tasty chili by the fire in the parlor, or order our “Night at the Movies” package, complete with popcorn and sweet treats…in the privacy of your room.
Need some pampering? Luxuriate in the tub with specially selected bath products, soft music and sparkling juice. An in-room massage can also be arranged, subject to availability.
Your innkeeper will work to assure that your romantic getaway is an experience you won’t forget.
Waterways
With a name like Three Rivers, you know that there MUST be some great boating opportunities available. If you have your own canoe or kayak, there are many nearby public access options for putting in on the Portage, St. Joseph or Rocky rivers. A guidebook is available at Voyager’s Inn to help you out.
No boat? Liquid Therapy Canoe and Kayak Rental is less than five minutes away, and offers various trip options. Your innkeeper can help with arrangements if you wish, and don’t forget to order our picnic lunch to make it a great day on the water.
